The Indian Meteorological Service (IMD) has warned citizens against lightning strikes, stating that thunderstorms will continue until Thursday. IMD issued an orange alert in 7 regions due to heavy rains, and a yellow alert in other regions. It was stated that 400 thousand rupees would be given to the families of 12 people who lost their lives due to lightning.
