Heavy rain in the USA turned the festival area into a swamp

Heavy rain in the US state of Nevada hit the Burning Man festival. The Black Rock Desert, where the festival was held, which hosted about 80,000 people, turned into a swamp after heavy rains, and thousands of participants were stranded in the area. While the organizers announced that the festival was postponed, state officials expressed their hope that vehicles sunk in the mud at the festival area will be able to move in the evening as the roads dry.

US President Joe Biden told reporters in the state of Delaware yesterday that he was aware of the situation at Burning Man and that the White House was in contact with local officials.

While it was announced that one person lost his life
at the Burning Man festival yesterday, it was stated that this loss of life was not related to the rains that were effective in the province on Friday and Saturday. While the investigation into the incident was ongoing, no information was shared by the authorities about the cause of death.
