UK Foreign Secretary Lammy: 'Concerned about news on Israel-Lebanon border'

Israel launched an attack on southern Lebanon today, claiming that "Hezbollah has fired rockets." While there were casualties in the attacks, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy made statements on his social media account. Lammy said in his post, "We are concerned about reports of escalation on the Israel-Lebanon border. We call on all parties to exercise restraint. We must ensure that this ceasefire agreement paves the way for a lasting peace."

At least 2 people were killed
The Lebanese Health Ministry reported that at least 2 people were killed and 8 people were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the town of Touline. In a statement made by the Israeli army, it was claimed that rocket launcher systems and the Hezbollah command center were targeted in the attacks.
