The European-made, multi-purpose, 4.5 generation twin-engine Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jet, which Turkey requested to purchase, landed at the Mürted Air Field Command in Ankara. The two Eurofighters belonging to the Royal Air Force, participating in the Ferocious Falcon V Exercise in Qatar , will be inspected by Turkish authorities after their landing. The two Eurofighters were accompanied by two F-16 fighter jets during their landing.
Minister Güler had announced the arrival of the planes.
Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, who met with media representatives in recent days, said, "The discussions on the Eurofighter issue are also continuing positively. Two Eurofighters belonging to the United Kingdom, which participated in the exercise in Qatar, will arrive in Ankara on December 18 and we will have the opportunity to see the planes."
