US President Donald Trump made scandalous statements about the Gaza Strip to Fox News. Stating that he was surprised that Jordan and Egypt opposed his plan "to displace the Palestinians in the region," Trump said, "We pay billions of dollars a year to Jordan and Egypt, and I'm a little surprised that they would say this."
Noting that the Gaza plan was "a plan that really works," Trump said, "But I'm not pushing it, I'm just going to sit back and recommend it. Then the US will own the region. There will be no Hamas, there will be development, and you'll start over with a clean slate."
Claiming that the people of the Gaza Strip would want to leave the region if given the right to choose, Trump said, "This is a wonderful place. I don't know why Israel gave up on this. Why did they give up?"
