The evacuation of US mountaineer Mark Dickey, who had stomach bleeding in Morca Cave in Mersin and whose evacuation started with the approval of the doctors, continues. It was announced that Dickey, who was taken up to 400 meters about 3 hours ago, reached the last 180 meters. However, since a meander (fold) forms inside the cave at 180 meters, it was learned that the scientist had to cross this part with his own effort. For this reason, it was stated that the scientist would be given medication.
Turkish Caving Federation also made a statement on the subject. The statement said, "The rescue team is currently trying to get Mark to 180 meters. In the 180 meters camp, Mark will continue after resting for a while. If everything goes well, it is aimed to be taken out by today evening or tomorrow."
