An EA-18G Growler type fighter jet belonging to the US Navy crashed into San Diego Bay in the state of California. The two pilots on board survived the crash by ejecting themselves before the crash.
The U.S. Coast Guard reported that the pilots were rescued just a minute after they hit the water, and that a fishing boat pulled the pilots from the water and carried them to a boat belonging to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection Air and Marine Operations.
The cause of the accident has not yet been determined, and the investigation is ongoing.
