Migrant deportation flights begin in the US

The decisions taken by US President Donald Trump to deport migrants have begun to be implemented. White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt used the words, “Deportation flights have begun,” in a statement on her social media account.

An unnamed US official speaking to the British media reported that two US military planes, each carrying approximately 80 migrants, flew to Guatemala. Speaking to reporters, the official said that the army was preparing to send another unit to the Mexican border next week and that this unit may include the 82nd Airborne Division. The official said the number of additional troops could be in the thousands, but no official decision has been made.

On the other hand, the White House shared images of US soldiers at the border with the title, “US Marines Assist US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) at the Border in Its Mission to Secure America.”
