As the investigation continues following the explosions on parked passenger buses in the city of Bat Yam, Israel, it was revealed that time-controlled explosive devices had been placed on 5 buses. Security sources stated that the first 2 buses exploded a few minutes apart and that a third bus exploded approximately 15 minutes later, and that the explosive devices on both buses had been defused. The sources described the incident as a "strategic terrorist attack."
Following the explosions, Israeli Transport Minister Miri Regev instructed the head of the Public Transport Authority to "stop and check all buses, trains and light rail trains and to act in accordance with the instructions of the Shin Bet and the police."
It has been announced that there are no deaths or injuries in the explosions so far.
