The first phase of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas has ended as of today. Amid uncertainty regarding the next phases of the agreement, Hamas sent a letter to the Arab League. "We are ready to move on to the next phases," the letter said. "We reaffirm our willingness to complete the remaining phases of the ceasefire agreement, which will result in a comprehensive and permanent ceasefire, the complete withdrawal of occupying forces from the Gaza Strip, reconstruction and the lifting of the siege."
Emphasizing that there should be no foreign power in the Gaza Strip, Hamas said in its letter, "We categorically reject any non-Palestinian project or form of governance or any attempt to impose the presence of any foreign power on the territory of the Gaza Strip."
The Arab League countries will hold a summit on "the post-war administration of Gaza" in Egypt on Tuesday.
