Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski reacted to Musk's statements. Sikorski said, "Starlinks for Ukraine are covered by the Polish Ministry of Digitalization at a cost of about $50 million per year. If SpaceX proves to be an unreliable supplier, we will have to look for other suppliers."
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio also joined the discussion and accused Sikorski of lying. Rubio, who stated that no one threatened to cut off Ukraine from Starlink, said, "Thank you, because without Starlink, Ukraine would have lost this war long ago and the Russians would be on the Polish border right now."
Musk emphasized that Rubio's statement was absolutely true. Then, targeting Sikorski, Musk said, "Be quiet, little man. You pay a very small fraction of the cost and there is no substitute for Starlink."
