Erciyes Ski Resort, which has the longest ski run in Turkey with its 112-kilometer run, continues to be flooded by domestic and foreign tourists. Erciyes, which especially hosts groups from countries such as Russia, Poland and Ukraine with charter flights, opened up to Europe due to the negative effects of the war. Erciyes, which has started to reap the fruits of the contacts made with England, also hosted its first British groups. While a group of about 50 people from the Muslim Ski Club in England were skiing on the slopes of Erciyes, Erciyes A.Ş. Chairman of the Board Hamdi Elcüman said, "As you know, Erciyes is now an international ski resort. We especially host many guests from abroad, but we are constantly trying to increase the number of our countries and charter flights. We are trying to determine new markets. As you know, this market had shrunk considerably after the Russia-Ukraine War. There are currently individual visitors, we are still happy, but the charter flights have ended. Our contacts with European countries in particular continue. We have been in England for the last two years, we are trying to open up to the English market, we participate in fairs. Thank God, we have started to reap the fruits of this. Our first group came last month, our second group came today. A group of 50 people came. They are still in Erciyes. Coincidentally, most of those who came are Muslims. Therefore, they come from both English guests and the Muslim Ski Club. We spoke to them, they were very pleased. They say they are happy with the halal food, the environment for prayer, and the presence of the mosque. Thank God, we have guests from Sweden, Norway, and Finland. We are reaching our goals one by one. "We are trying to contribute to our country and our city. Thank God, Erciyes is now rapidly advancing towards becoming a global brand," he said.
Agency official Erdem Kurt stated that the guests were quite satisfied and said, "Our group came from England. There was a group of approximately 40 people who came from England for a peaceful holiday where they could eat more comfortably, not be judged, and drink tea when they went to the bar regarding halal tourism in Turkey. Last October, we promoted Turkey in London with the support of Erciyes Ski Resort. After this organization, these friends got to know us and came here. They are very happy to come here."
British tourist Burhan Ali, who came to Erciyes, said, "We are very happy here, everything is very peaceful and comfortable. We want to come again. The hospitality in Turkey is very pleasing for us. I will come again next year."
