following the attack on a passenger train traveling from Quetta to Peshawar in the Bolan district of Balochistan province in Pakistan by the separatist Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA). The number of militants neutralized in the operation launched by security forces has risen to 16, while the number of hostages rescued has reached 104.
Authorities reported that 31 women and 15 children were among the rescued hostages, and that 10 people were killed and 17 were injured in the clashes.
It is estimated that the train was carrying more than 400 passengers, but it is not yet known how many people the attackers held hostage.
