Türkiye ranks 5th in the world in elevator exports

Turkey, which shares 5th place with Spain in elevator exports in the world, has realized 1 billion 770 million dollars of exports in the last 5 years. Referring to elevator accidents, the President of the Turkish Elevator Industrialists Federation (TASFED) Cem Bozdağ said that some accidents could be prevented thanks to a very simple cabin and a part attached to the counterweight.

Türkiye ranks 5th in the world in elevator exports

Members of the Construction Contractors Industrialists and Businessmen Association (İMSİAD) came together under the hosting of HAS Asansör. Also celebrating its 45th anniversary, HAS Asansör toured the production line of its own factory to contractors and businessmen. Speaking at the meeting, which saw intense participation, Turkish Elevator Industrialists Federation (TASFED) President Cem Bozdağ said that Türkiye shares 5th place with Spain in the world in terms of exports. Bozdağ said, "According to the data of the Ministry of Trade, the amount of imported materials brought to Turkey from abroad in the last 5 years was 584 million dollars, while most of this 584 million dollars was the amount of materials brought by companies with international capital from China as packages. We have realized an export of 1 billion 770 million dollars in the last 5 years. In other words, we are a sector that has an export surplus of approximately 1.2 billion dollars in 5 years. We are in 5th place together with Spain in the export ranking in the world. The Ministry of Industry also included the elevator in the strategic sectors section. We are a strategic sector. We are a sector that has an export surplus. This export surplus is growing day by day. We manufacture elevators with domestic and national production without using any imported materials. Moreover, we contribute to the balance of import and export in the country's economy."

"Elevator accidents can be prevented with a simple part"
Bozdağ, who stated that many accidents can be prevented with a part attached to the elevator, said, "There is a part we call the emergency guide. It is a very simple part attached to the cabin and counterweight. Thanks to that simple part, we can prevent some accidents. Since the elevator cabins are on the lowest floor, the cabins do not feel much trouble during an earthquake. However, since the counterweight is at the top and the oscillation is very high there, it can break the skates there. If it breaks this, the counterweight that is left idle can fall onto the cabin with the weights inside. The elevator should not be operated in this situation. For seismic situations, all our contractor friends need to bring the fire sensor ends to the elevator machine room."

"We export projects to 7 continents"
Stating that HAS Elevator has been in the sector for 45 years, HAS Elevator CEO Pakize Kuşku said, "We are here to be your solution partner that adds value, not a burden to your projects. Elevators should not be a burden to you, elevators should carry loads. We have been in this sector for 45 years. However, what is important to us is not the length of this history but the meaning it carries. During this period, we have been growing and developing with more than 100 thousand package elevators worldwide, projects in 7 continents and countless applications that lead the sector as the largest elevator company in Turkey."

"We export elevators to 89 countries from Bursa"
Stating that HAS Elevator manufactures 3,250 units annually and sends its products to 89 countries, HAS Elevator R&D Assistant Manager Şamil Çahal said, "First of all, we carry out our shipments to European Union countries, then to Russia, the Middle East, Canada and South America. Of course, while doing this, we examine all the norms and standards adopted by the countries one by one. Together with our expert engineer staff, we take actions regarding the systems that need to be changed, added or removed, and make every contribution we can to Turkish exports."

Emphasizing the need to establish international companies, Şeref Demir, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Construction Contractors Industrialists and Businessmen Association (İMSİAD), said, "HAS Asansör is a company that exports to 80 countries and also established the first elevator R&D department in Türkiye. It is a company we are proud of. Hopefully, the number of these companies will increase in every sector. There is oppression in Palestine and it is not being intervened. It is not being intervened due to economic powers. We need to be very strong as a country in order to intervene in these. That is why we need strong companies. Therefore, we will try to support such companies as much as we can. We have to create international companies among us. Because this system has no chance of continuing in any other way. A trade war started in a short time. It was seen once again how important production is in this trade war. No matter how strong you want, if you do not produce, you have to be subject to someone after a certain point. We also need to produce. We need to establish international companies. This requires solidarity," he said.

HAS Elevator Board of Directors Honorary Chairman Sebahattin Şekerci said, "Our employees took on this job and are progressing very well. I think the work to come will be even better."

Kestel Mayor Ferhat Erol, who stated that HAS Elevator is a very important brand for the Kestel district, said, "It has become a company with a vision. I wish you many more 45 years. I would like to state that such meetings are very important."

At the end of the speeches, plaques were presented to the supporting institutions, and certificates of achievement were given to those who served HAS Elevator Company for many years. A cake was cut on behalf of the company that left 45 years behind.
