Temporary measures regulating the use of AI-based technologies have been issued by 7 government bodies, including the Ministries of Education and Science and Technology , under the leadership of the China Cyberspace Administration (CAC) . The CAC explained that the adopted regulations also cover content such as publicly available photos, audio and video produced by artificial intelligence . Within the scope of the regulations, it was stated that artificial intelligence-based technologies must comply with the specified rules regarding the use of data, copyright and protection of personal data.
It was noted that the new regulations in China, which will come into effect on August 15, will replace the rules that entered into force in April.
