Inspired by Türkiye's endemic plant diversity, Karya Farma HBX R&D has added a new product to its line of inventions developed thanks to natural active ingredients obtained from plant seeds and extracts. It announced that it has developed a new product called Herbal Armor Against Neurodegenerative Diseases from prickly pear seeds, thistle seeds, and caper seeds, with the number HBX-HPA1442 (2020/16279).
HBX R&D Founder Hakan Başlı stated that not only the fruits but also the seeds of endemic plants possess incredible biological potential. "The Aegean is like the center of the world in terms of endemic plants," he said. "We want to make the unknown visible. With the two patented products we developed, we aimed to naturally strengthen both brain health and the individual's immunity and stress resistance in daily life. This is a scientific journey born from Türkiye's nature."
Indicating that this formula, which can support complementary treatment in progressive nervous system diseases such as Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, MS, Huntington's and ALS, also has the potential to slow down cognitive decline due to aging, Kafa stated that the product also relieves sleep disorders.

Stating that with the Covid 19 pandemic process, it was understood that masks should not only have microbial protection but also features that increase personal health comfort and that they were working as HBX-R&D based on this point, Kafa said, "The mask we designed provides antibacterial and antiviral effects through natural means, while it has anti-stress properties thanks to the plant-based nutraceutical layers it contains.
