"Do not travel to 6 states of Mexico" warning from the USA

The US State Department warned its citizens not to travel to six states of Mexico, citing security issues. Noting that kidnapping and crime incidents are common in the states of Colima, Guerrero, Michoacan, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas, the ministry told its citizens to avoid these states. The ministry also advised citizens who want to travel to the states of Baja California, Durango, Chihuahua, Sonora, Jalisco, Morelos and Guanajuato to think again, due to the high incidence of crime and kidnapping. In the statement, it was stated that only those traveling to Yucatan and Campeche states would be sufficient to take normal precautions, while caution was warned for those traveling to the remaining 17 states.

It is forbidden to travel alone and at night
The U.S. Department of State has stated that due to the increase in crimes such as murder, kidnapping, vehicle theft and robbery in Mexico in recent days, U.S. government employees in the country are prohibited or restricted from traveling to many regions of the country, and their ability to provide emergency services to citizens in these regions will be limited. It is known that while the US government employees in Mexico are restricted from traveling alone and at night in areas deemed risky, they are prohibited from crossing by land from areas considered very risky.
